National Short Girls Appreciation Day

Is this actually for real?   Based on the fact that December 22 is the shortest day of the year, they now have the same day for short girls/women.

Why couldn't it then be National Short People Appreciation Day?  Well, we know the answer.  They don't want to include short men.  This country just despises short men!

Pastor says "Even short people matter to God"

Well, how nice of him to say...lol.  He makes it seem like short people are less than everyone else and don't really matter in society but do matter to God.  Look how he talks about Zaccheus.

http://www.avalonchurch.org/2014/06/18/even-short-people-matter-to-god/

Even short people matter to God

Zaccheus was a wee, little man,
And a wee, little man was he.
He climbed up in a sycamore tree,
For the Lord he wanted to see.
And as the Savior came that way,
He looked up in the tree,
And he said,”Zaccheus, you come down from there,”
For I’m going to your house today.
For I’m going to your house today.
Zaccheus was having a rough day. Luke tells us in his gospel account that Zaccheus (let’s just call him Zach, okay?) was a chief tax collector – which was bad enough on its own – but he was also short. This made for a really bad combination the day Jesus was entering Zach’s hometown of Jericho.
Zach really wanted to see Jesus – but the crowd lining the street was taller than him. As much as he jumped, all he really saw was the backside (you know what I mean) of the men and women in front of him. And saying, “Excuse me,” only made it worse. When folks looked behind themselves to see who was talking, they saw Zach the Tax Collector – and let their arms accidentally swing freely at their sides, whacking Zach right in the face with their elbows.
Zach had to go to extraordinary means to even get a glimpse of Jesus. In a totally unusual and undignified manner he climbed a tree alongside the street. Quite unlike the haughty tax official everyone knew him to be, he now looked like a child scampering up a tree – which probably made all the difference in the world – for Jesus himself told us that unless we become like children we really cannot grasp the Kingdom of God.
Zach had no idea when that day began how it would end. Zach thought he was invisible; but in the midst of the crowd, Jesus saw him and that moment changed his life. Jesus was about to transform Zack’s heart.
In preparation for our time of study Sunday, let me encourage you to read the following verses:
  • Luke 19:1-10 – the story of a man who learned how much he mattered to God

Geraldo Rivera makes heightist comment on "The Five"

Well, another prejudice comment I have just been a witness to from our friends at "The Five".

While discussing Hillary Clinton, Greg Gutfeld was making comments about Hillary that apparently Geraldo Rivera disagreed with and he responded to Greg "At least she's not short."   Greg is 5'5".

I guess Geraldo Rivera is forgetting that he is not all that tall either - 5'8" maybe 5'9".

What if Greg responded "Well, at least I'm not latino, Geraldo."  Of course, he would have been torched for that right?  He is too classy to do that anyway.

BTW, I would much rather be short than be Hillary!

Even Asian women frown on short men

Yes, even in the far east, where the women are shorter than here in America, shorter men are dismissed.

Ronald Green, genetic ethicist: "It's a terrible thing for a male to be short"

Have a look at this article about genetic engineering:

http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/03/health/designer-babies-gene-editing/index.html

Particularly, read the portion entitled "Are short men endangered?"

Polls show most Americans are leery of technology that goes beyond disease elimination. That might change if technology gives a child an advantage, Green believes.
"No one (knew they) wanted the iPhone at first, but Steve Jobs made it and everyone has one," Green said. "This will be no different."
For instance, he thinks parents may want taller boys.
"It's a terrible thing for a male to be short, even if this is not a disease, to be short, studies show the child earns less, will be more likely to be bullied, or may not be asked to lead," Green said. "I can see parents saying, 'Let's create a taller child.'"
As an ethicist, Green doesn't believe parents should choose modifications that turn their child into the next Michael Jordan. Nor does he think genetic manipulation should be used for racially discriminatory or homophobic reasons. But he believes some cosmetic applications may become more accepted.

So, if a child is more likely to be bullied because he is short, can his parents ask for help from the Department of Justice now, since Lorreta Lynch is saying that parents of Muslim children who are bullied should contact her?  .

All this acknowledgement of heightism but yet there is no recourse for short men.

Interesting also when he says genetic manipulation shouldn't be allowed for racially discriminatory or homophobic reasons (because discrimination against them is wrong) but it should still be allowed if you have a short child.

Wow!

The short guy stigma: A taller woman that gets it!

This video, which many of you may have seen already, comes from Cristen Conger.  Cristen, who claims also to have some height related issues,(being 5'9"...which really isn't that tall, not even for a woman these days)is aware of the issues short men have and basically thinks we are treated unfairly.

Fascism and hypocrisy: Offensive remarks towards minorities are wrong but those same remarks are ok when directed at short people.

Here we go again!  This country is coming closer to becoming fascist.

Offensive remarks and freedom of speech are under attack at these two campuses...well, for now.

At the University of Missouri, apparently, some racist remarks or acts were directed at some black students on campus.  The president there was unable to rectify the problem and he was forced to resign, led by members of the Missouri football team.

At Yale, they are protesting the same things after some black girls were denied admission to a party and  the fact that one of the professors and his wife opposed a decision by Yale administration to tell the students to be careful what they wore for Halloween costumes.  Students then targeted the couple, apparently because they were insensitive or something of that nature.

So...in a nutshell, these two universities, which no doubt support liberalism, freedom of speech and expression, now have an issue with it.  Why, because it could offend minorities.

Hmmm...do these same people who fear offensive or insulting remarks on their campuses ever hurl offensive remarks at other groups?

I can go on Twitter and see a whole bunch of hateful, offensive remarks directed at short men and probably by these very same people who scream on these campuses to be more tolerant and sensitive; while at the same time citing their own freedom of speech when they do it to someone else..
.
Here's some offensive remarks...wonder if these people will lose their jobs?

Now, I find that OFFENSIVE! Here is some more hypocrisy...
Yes, but don't you dare say anything offensive to these people. Oh and one more because short man hate is just my imagination..lol

Police officer cleared of killing unarmed white man after shooting him in back...twice!

Back in February, David Kassick, was pulled over by police officer Lisa Mearkle in Pennsylvania.  He had an expired registration.

Instead of complying, he fled and was chased by Officer Mearkle.   She caught up to him and tased him and he subsequently fell down into the snow.  She had ordered him to show her his hands which he did not do, tho he had been tasered four times.  Now, instead of putting his hands behind his back and cuffing him, she shot him twice in the back!

Today, a jury cleared her of murder!

Now, why in the world has this not been all over the airwaves?  Well, David Kassick  was an unarmed white man and she was a white officer.  I guess unarmed white men who get shot in the back twice don't get any kind of justice.  .Whether this was justified or not, this hasn't received any national attention as it no doubt would have had David Kassick been black.

Do you think Quentin Tarantino mentioned David Kassick at his protest when he ran through a list of names of people who have been "murdered" by police? Hmmmm...doubtful. We all know Gilbert Collar wasn't mentioned either. I guess if you are white, you don't matter now.

Since the media won't mention this injustice because it doesn't fit the narrative, I figured I would mention it.

Melissa Harris Perry: you are truly the epitome of a hypocrite!

Here we go again: another example of someone screaming about offensive language yet had no problem uttering derogatory remarks about short men.

Melissa Harris Perry seemed incensed the other day on MSNBC when one of her guests referred to the prospective Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, as a "hard worker".  Her claim was that it could be offensive to those that were slaves and we should be careful how it is used...

In May, this same woman (who wants people to watch what they say) had no problem
sneering at Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather's weight (both weigh between 145 and 150lbs), saying that she outweighed both of them and wondered why "we care about little guys fighting?"

Here is the link for that bout of hypocrisy....about 5:50 into the clip.

http://www.msnbc.com/melissa-harris-perry/watch/boxing-match-about--the-tale-of-two-men--438309955919

What's the matter Melissa, aren't they man enough for you?  You clearly snickered at their weight and their height; I guess that makes them less of men to you.   Are tall men the only ones who should be able to entertain us and make gobs of money?  Perhaps you are the one who should watch what you say Melissa Harris Perry; I find what you said offensive.

Oh wait, I forgot, making derogatory, snide remarks about short men is ok but don't you dare refer to someone as a "hard worker", how offensive!

Oh and BTW, speaking of hard workers... many short men are "hard workers" and would you like to know why?  Because of people like you, who seem to think that all the glory should be reserved for tall men. Now, us short men have to work extra hard to succeed in life!

On a side note, I do wish to point out some more hypocrisy that exists.  Why is it that after all the outrage last year against domestic violence (especially after the Ray Rice tape emerged) did people then turn around and put $200 million into Mayweather's pockets?  Wasn't he convicted of multiple domestic assaults?

The hypocrisy in this country never ceases to amaze me and Melissa Harris Perry epitomizes it!

Are you depressed because you are short?

Have a look at this commentary from Short Guy Central on an article written about how being short leads to depression.

http://shortguycentral.com/P-69/being-short-makes-you-depressed

I will honestly say that I do get depressed at times but not necessarily because of my short stature but how society treats me based on my stature.

I am quite sick of society and the media trivializing the issue of heightism because it doesn't "compare" to other forms of oppression.  You can't compare what some disparate groups endure with others because it will always differ.  Just because they aren't the same or as extreme doesn't mean that the person or group who experience it aren't adversely affected by it.

Discrimination is wrong when it is directed at any group!

People jump to little person's defense during offensive job interview

It is nice to see that some people out there understand that constant references to someone's lack of height are tiresome and insulting.

Sadly, though this was a staged interview to see how people would react, it does happen.  I was once told by a manager that she thought I was incapable because I was a little guy.

Fox news', Jesse Watters, refers to Jay Glazer as a "little midget"

I was watching "The Five" on Fox News today and one of the panelists today, unfortunately, was Jesse Waters.

During a later segment, where they were talking about Alex Rodriguez throwing a football on Fox's pregame show on Sunday, Jesse Watters referred to Jay Glazer as a "little midget" because he was unable to catch an overthrown football from Rodriguez which then hit a screen.  Normally, I would let this go but the way Watters said it is what got my attention; there was no smile on his face when he said it, so it clearly wasn't said in a joking manner.  Watters stands probably about 6'3' or 6'4" himself, so he probably doesn't think highly of shorter men anyway and it was apparent to me that he didn't view Jay Glazer's stature too highly.  Gee Jesse, why not just call him a "little piece of shit" and get it over with?

Short boys parents suing school for his suicide

Last year,  Lamar Hawkins, a 14 year old who stood under 5'0" tall, took his own life after being repeatedly bullied at school.  Hmmmmm...and the school did nothing...go figure...he was undersized after all.

Saudi women divorces husband for his short stature!

Yes, one woman from the Middle East(many of whom no doubt experience much maltreatment and abuse from their husbands and their culture) could no longer take the mockery of having a husband shorter than her.

Being raped,  beaten and treated like third class citizens seems to be common over there and the women have to tolerate it  BUT A SHORT MAN IS UNBEARABLE TO THEM!.

Says it all doesn't it?

Wendy Williams disses Ariana Grande and why? Cause she's 4'11"

Why is it that the people who scream so loud when they are discriminated against feel it is completely acceptable then to do it to someone else?

I don't watch Wendy Williams and I don't follow Ariana Grande either but I am quite sure Ms. Williams wouldn't like it if someone made comments about her body either.

Apparently, since Ariana Grande is petite and stands 4'11", she isn't a woman according to Wendy Williams.  Someone is a hater!

Petition to DirecTV about "petite" Randy Moss

Here is a petition at change.org to DirecTV to have them pull the ad; however, in my experience they won't pull the ad, they will just let it run its course until they make a new one.  Yoplait did the same thing ten years ago with its short men bashing ad and then offered a back door apology; DirecTV will do the same...maybe.

DrecTV message to short men: you're losers

Last year DirecTV came out with an ad featuring Rob Lowe depicting him (who had DirecTV)  and an alter ego(who was the loser of the two for only having cable tv)

The newer ads have Tony Romo. and Randy Moss.  Lowe's and Romo's alter egos were always dressed differently or shabbily to make them seem out of touch and strange.  However, in the Randy Moss commercial, his alter ego is just short...called the "petite" Randy Moss.

I just wonder if DirecTV is going to do another commercial featuring a model and then making that same model's alter ego overweight and saying "Don't be this me, use DirecTv."  ...I doubt it too because that would be offensive.

Jose Altuve "forgets that he is 5'5" and a half"...

I am watching the Astros and Dodger game right now!

Houston Astro, Jose Altuve, has been doing well this weekend against two of the best pitchers in baseball...Zach Greinke and Clayton Kershaw..  Charlie Steiner, the announcer for the Dodgers was pointing out how Altuve was 5 for 6 against these two pitchers and said that all he has done since he came up in 2012 is to lead baseball in hits and stolen bases.  Then Steiner goes on to say that "he forgets that he is only 5'5" and a half."   Wow, I guess he is supposed to suck since he is short right?

On a good note, Steiner did say he was fun to watch...

Is it ok to use the word "midget"

The Little People of America (LPA) have asked the USDA to remove the word "midget" from its raisins.

Personally, I am also offended by the word "midget" but when it is used in a condescending manner to refer to a person of shorter stature or a little person.  People need to know that there is no positive correlation with the word; it is offensive, vulgar and dehumanizing.  When directing it at someone, you may as well be spitting on them!

However, in this case, it is not referring to people but an object: the raisin.  So, if the media and society at large is going to come out and say that little people are being too pc and/or are overly sensitive about this issue, then they must be ok with referring to cigarettes as "faggots" and female dogs as "bitches" right?  After all, you aren't referring to humans in those cases?  Or, if they are going to say that you can't use those terms, then you can't use midgets either to describe a raisin.   Let's be fair about it  and not do the double standard thing again.

You can't fight offensive terms towards some groups and then allow it when it is directed at others!

Say it isn't so Ivanka!

I just ran across a video of Ivanka Trump on Conan O' Brien from 2007.

She sits down at the beginning of the interview and notices how they are all tall, then Conan says that many in show business are "tiny" to which Ivanka responds that she is frequently disappointed.

Ugh...I am disappointed Ivanka!

Jonathan Pitre: an inspiring story!

I saw this video earlier today and was moved by it:

This 14 year old boy suffers from Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (DEB), a condition which causes easy blistering of the skin.  This is the most severe form of EB.  His attitude, as well as his courage, are nothing short of inspirational!

Hope that they find a cure for this disease soon!

First female coach in the NFL, Dr. Jen Welter, is 5'2"

Well, if you are a NFL fan, you probably know that the Arizona Cardinals now have a female coach on staff; a historical moment.

Dr. Jen Welter (she also has a degree in psychology from Boston College) played professional football for fourteen years in a women's league, as a linebacker..  She also played for the Texas Revolution (an men's indoor football team) at running back as well as coaching them,  When I saw that she was 5'2" and weighed about 130lbs, that made me take even more notice;  that must not have been easy.

She now works as a training camp coach for the Cardinals and works with the inside linebackers!

Nice to see that the Cardinals are giving her the opportunity!

No one notices that we're short...so it must be us!

This one never fails!  People will always point out that us short people are the ones who only know how short we are and no one cares. Just like that episode of Grey's Anatomy pointed out.   Right!

Is this why the previously mentioned Anne Coulter notices how short Rand Paul and Marco Rubio are.

When I watch an Eagle game and Darren Sproles is running the ball,  his height is usually brought up.

Whenever I watch a Houston Astro game, the announcers always have something to say about Jose Altuve's height (but I guess they don't notice right?...lol).  I can recall watching a game when they were playing the Royals a couple of weeks ago and Altuve was standing on first base.  The announcers were talking about how he led the league in steals, last year he had a batting title and also discussed how he was told he was too small to play (even though he has been on the All Star team three times in four years) and was cut by a baseball team in Venezuela only to return and try out again and did quite well.  Of course, they said he had a chip on his shoulder....why?  Because he is successful?  Jose Altuve stands 5'6".   Of course they notice his height.

Isn't physical appearance the first thing people notice about someone?  So, how in the world do people not notice short stature?

Trust ne, us shorter fellows try not to think about it, until someone points it out to us and it is usually not in a praising tone.

I have had plenty of experiences, as I am sure we all have  of people pointing out our heights. One of my former bosses told me twice that "you shorter people sure have personalities"...yea... she didn't notice I was short...lol.  Another told me that I was a little guy and she thought I was incapable, guess she didn't notice my stature either?  A man I didn't even know called me a midget in Vegas back in 1997 and that he hated people like me but I guess I imagined that too.  My small stature was  noted in the Orange County Register back in 1985 when I was standing next to two of my teammates on my high school football team but I guess the sportswriter didn't notice either.

So, I am sorry but people do notice our short stature and have no problem reminding us of it!

Anne Coulter doubles down with her heightism!

I was just listening to Mark Simone on WOR 710 in NY and his guest was Anne Coulter (she is on there often talking politics)..

She couldn't wait to get off a shot about Rand Paul's height saying that he needed a step stool and that she almost stepped on him at an event.

Then, of course, Michael Dukakis' name came up and she couldn't help but express her glee when she saw how much taller George H.W Bush was than he and remarked "Dukakis didn't have an answer for that".

Maybe she should thank the shorter James Madison (who authored the Constitution, along with Thomas Jefferson) for her right to use that freedom of speech to bash short men.  Let's not forget Martin Luther King - 5'6"- another well known advocate for civil rights and freedom!  If it wasn't for them, she wouldn't be able to run her mouth now would she?

I wonder where all this hatred and contempt for short men originates from in her life?   Maybe she was shunned by a political candidate that was shorter now she just dislikes them all or maybe a short man rejected her or maybe she was just born prejudice!

Female writer points out the double standard of heightism in dating

The writer of this article, Alison Taylor, seems to get it that there is a double standard when it comes to dating:

State of Ohio tried to ban height discrimination....in 1983

Interesting, I wonder whatever happened to this legislation from 1983.  Haven't heard anything from Ohio since.

https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=799&dat=19830608&id=iJJPAAAAIBAJ&sjid=mVEDAAAAIBAJ&pg=6333,6234465&hl=en

Guess it didn't pass because it wouldn't remove prejudice from society as was suggested  "...although the Republican minority argues that laws cannot remove such prejudices from society."

Wow!   Because other laws passed to ban workplace discrimination have removed other forms of prejudice from society I suppose?  lol

Granted, this was thirty-two years ago!

You will never be able to remove prejudice from society but you can challenge the discrimination that it causes!

French study cautions against growth hormone use citing possible stroke

This study, the results of which were posted in this article, suggests a possibility of stroke in children who took GH and were part of the control group between 1986 and 1996.  Of the over 6500 that were monitored, eleven suffered a stroke and four of them were fatal, all before the age of thirty.   As the article suggests, there could be other factors that contributed to the strokes other than GH therapy.

Like I have said numerous times:  If parents are so worried about how their children will be treated in school or in their careers, why do they not support legislation that would protect them from bullying or workplace discrimination instead of putting them at risk of future health complications down the road and for only two or three inches at most?

 http://journals.lww.com/neurotodayonline/Fulltext/2014/08210/Growth_Hormone_Therapy_Found_to_be_Associated_with.1.aspx

Short people: Still waiting for legal protection

So, guess we are still waiting for protection from discrimination?  Besides Michigan, the other 49 states still have to pass a law to ban height discrimination in the workplace.  Massachusetts has been trying for ten years now....nothing (not even in this  country's most liberal and tolerant state).  The last bill (H1758) hasn't seen action since January of 2015, which means a new one will have to be introduced.

I guess in my next job, I will still have to be subjected to comments that question my capabilities based on my height or stereotypical comments about short people.   Comments, that when directed at other groups, result in termination,  social ostracism and difficulties in finding future employment since you have no doubt been branded a bigot..  Yet, you can still make the work environment hostile towards shorter people, so don't fret you prejudice people!

Here is an article that contains a list of states and their laws prohibiting workplace discrimination and bullying.   Look at California especially and all the groups that it protects from disparate treatment; every group that you can name...oh...except short or overweight people (who may be able to be protected provided their obesity is protected under the ADA).

http://nobullying.com/discrimination-and-bullying-laws-by-state/

So fellow short men and short women, if you don't like to be treated unfairly in the workplace, you had better get your limbs lengthened because it doesn't appear that we will be getting any relief anytime soon.

Short men: The litmus test for discrimination

In these times, when everyone is trying so hard to be politically correct and not offend anyone or any group of people or face the social consequences, it can really be difficult to tell who the prejudice people really are.

However, the way short people are treated, especially men, can be a great indicator of the prejudice that is really out there.   Since it seems acceptable to constantly bash and insult short people, society is taking full advantage of it, maybe even more so now that most other forms of discrimination are frowned upon.  These hateful, prejudice people need somewhere to direct their hate and discord.

Look at Twitter's #heightismreport, a classic example of. people letting fly with their short men hatred.  Yet, if the same remarks were directed at them based on their race, gender or sexual orientation, there'd be trouble!  People have been disciplined and even terminated from their employment for disparaging people on social media...well... with the exception of short men.

Besides social media, there are many other sources that spew heightism.  Television programs depicting short men as losers, radio hosts making disparaging comments, news outlets, other internet sites where people can chime in and insult short men when height wasn't even brought into the article that a reader or readers was viewing.

Short men are disrespected at the workplace;. held back from promotions and if they do so happen to advance to a leadership/management role, people label them with a complex even though they are just doing what they are supposed to do, just like their taller peers.

Shorter boys continue to face bullying on the school playground and are mocked because of their small stature.   Those in authority look the other way because there is no pressure for them to intervene on the child's behalf, as there is pressure to stop the bullying if the child is being targeted based on their race, sexual orientation or gender identity.   Now, these shorter boys can come home to seek some relief from the bullying only to go onto Facebook and get exposed to more verbal and emotional abuse...based on a characteristic they can't control..

Dating is and will always be a challenge for shorter men, more than it is for anyone else.  Women constantly stress their desire for taller men, even on the "Christian" dating site E-Harmony where substance is supposed to be important.  Even the founder, Neil Clark Warren, said in an interview one time that they "don't match women with shorter men because the women complain."  Yet, don't be a man and say you don't want a woman who weighs above a certain weight because then you are a pig.

Shorter men face social ostracism constantly, sadly, it could even be from family or friends who are looking to climb the social ladder by putting down their shorter relative or maybe even good friend.

I have experienced all these things myself and it just never ceases to amaze me how, when I take exception to the disrespect and outright discrimination, I am the one with the problem.  I, and other short men, will continue to be labeled unfairly until we can get laws in place to protect us, just as other groups have laws in place to protect them. (notice how disparate treatment against them is no longer their problem; now you have to go the other way to make sure they aren't offended; some want special treatment while short people just want equal treatment)

So, it is safe to say that there is still plenty of prejudice out there; just because people may seem more tolerant or accepting doesn't mean it isn't there.   They can get away with it against short men, so, they'll keep doing it until there are consequences to it.   Why won't there be?  Because it is another form of discrimination that people have to tackle and instead of admitting it exists (even though it is so widely practiced),they will deny it and say that short people imagine it.  See, that way they can keep on doing it, because if society acknowledges its existence, it needs to take the proper steps to alleviate it or be labeled as hypocrites, since it apparently frowns on all forms of discrimination.

On an individual basis, there may be some sort of awareness though, besides from short men.  When women go into sperm banks and demand that their donors be tall because they want tall kids, since there will be better opportunities for them.  Or, when mothers want to give their short boys growth hormone so that they can catch up to their taller peers and not be singled out for bullying.  Hmmm... now why would they do that  unless they knew there was unfair treatment taking place?  Doubtful though, that these same women would back legislation to stop that same unfair treatment.

Heightism is the wrong that society doesn't want to make right!

Heightism on "Grey's Anatomy"

Get a load of this clip from Grey's Anatomy.  Man gets limb-lengthening surgery in Hong Kong which causes an infection; then is told later by his taller brother that no one notices his height but him...lol

Yet, in another scene, the doctor who was trying to fix his legs was talking about how she felt humiliated and that made her feel .."shorter".

This aired in January of 2009.

The actor's name that portrays Chuck Rubin is Jason Kravits: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006463/bio

George Stephanopoulos' height attacked again

So, more attacks on George's height after his wife. Ali Wentworth was interviewed in an article...

comparing Stephanopolis to a sex Icon is funny. If there is one thing he is not that is it. The only r4eason she got him is because no one else wanted the runt.

OIY...that's considered an icon these days? All I can say is that voice I can't stand to listen to. Spare me your insults Tony Bo....The guy is not sexy. Very few young journalists, actors, musicians are sexy today. Give me the Cary Grants, Gregory Peck, william Holdens and many more. Now those were icons. This guy is a little pip squeek! Shouldn't his wife be embarrassed to talk about her husband like this?

Christine Ford
Sex Icon. YOU MUST be talking about someone else as George is nothing of the sort.

Bill Johnson
Stephanopoulos makes ALL Hobbits proud! I know Hillary loves him. Bill too!

Aww... he's a cute little sex icon.. So tiny, you can stick him in your pocket and take him everywhere !!! lol

Well...you get the idea!

Michael Grimm, the Congressman who threatened a short male reporter, sentenced to jail time!

It's about time!   Michael Grimm, who back in 2014 threatened NY1 reporter Michael Scotto on air, was sentenced to eight months jail time...though not for the television assault.

Grimm, who doesn't stand all that tall himself, maybe 5'7", was found guilty of tax fraud.

However, remember this from January of 2014, right after the State of the Union?

Mark Levin takes shot at Senator Bob Corker's short stature

Why does this not surprise me?   Mark Levin loves to antagonize shorter men with whom he disagrees, regardless of their party affiliation.   He has gone after Dennis Kucinich's height in the past, Dick Durbin's and today he went after Senator Bob Corker (R- Tennessee).

Today (7/15), he had a caller on the line and they were talking about the deal that we just made with Iran.  They both disagreed with something Senator Corker had said or done and, as usual, when someone disagrees with a short man, the adolescent attacks emerge.  Levin said he had a "napoleonic complex" and the lady on the line responded..."Yea, he's a munchkin!"

Senator Bob Corker stands about 5'6.5".

Think Mr Levin would attack someone's race if he disagreed with them?  NO!   Would he have referred to a female senator in a derogatory manner if he disagreed with her?  NO!  But, it's open season on short men again huh Mr Levin?

Have a look at this article about Senator Corker from 2006:

http://politicalvideos.blogspot.com/2006/10/is-bob-corker-tall-enough-to-be.html

Apparently he IS tall enough because he is in his second term as a US Senator.

P.S.   I HEAR MARK LEVIN RAISE HIS VOICE ON THE RADIO QUITE OFTEN;   WHAT COMPLEX DO YOU HAVE MR LEVIN?  OH WAIT, YOU STAND 6'0", SO GETTING ANGRY MUST BE YOUR RIGHT I GUESS!

Anne Coulter: No short candidates for president!

Hmmm..

Back in March of 2013, on a Hannity segment, Anne Coulter said that  Senators Marco Rubio and Rand Paul were too short to run for the White House.  Now, either she is just prejudice or she knows how vain America is and would never vote a short man into office..  If it is the former, I just wonder if her choices were Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker or Bernie Sanders, would she actually choose the socialist Sanders?   I guess better to have a tall men in office who will ruin the country with his policies than to have a short man in there huh Anne?

Congrats to 4'4" Rico Abreu

A few days ago, 4'4" NASCAR driver, Rico Abreu won his first official event as a 23 year old in Columbus, Ohio.

I guess he had to do it to make up for his shorter stature right?  lol...that's what many of the people who have contempt for shorter people will say anyway...bunch of haters.

Congrats Rico!

Gay marriage: when do people support tradition?

So, we all are aware by now of the Supreme Court's decision today to recognize gay marriage in all 50 states.

Marriage, of course,  traditionally has been between a man and a woman!  But the progressives want anyone to be able to marry as long as they are happy.

Yet, all these tolerant, progressive people will suddenly switch to traditional mode when they see a short man with a taller woman and scoff and laugh at how ridiculous they look and that a man should be taller than the woman.

Yep, how tolerant of them!

Ziggin and Zaggin our way through free speech!

Okay....really?    Have you heard the latest in terms of America being overly pc?   The city of Pittsburgh has to remove decals on its buses because when read backwards could be seen as offensive?   The words   "Ziggin and Zaggin".

http://www.mediaite.com/online/pittsburgh-buses-to-remove-slogans-with-reverse-racist-messages/

I wonder if this is the same America that advocates for free speech when it comes to the avid short men bashing that it does, especially over Twitter.   You know, tweets such as "Short men are losers!"   and "Short men must die"?  Yea, those should be allowed but offensive words such as Zaggin need to be removed from our lexicon because of the group it could offend?   The funny thing is, the same person who complained about this decal, probably bashes short men on Twitter citing her free speech.

I wonder what would happen to someone if they posted  say "All black people are losers" or "All gay people should die!" over Twitter as they do to short men?   Hmmm...what would the consequences be?   They'd lose their jobs more than likely and be branded as social pariah!   Yet, same hateful language directed at short men bears no consequences does it?  So...hateful ideas are still allowed and prevalent here in "tolerant" America as long as there are no repercussions?

But a word when spelled backwards has to be removed?   Unreal!

If you are against discrimination, maybe you should live in Michigan!

In the news lately, people are now in  an uproar over the law in Indiana that protects religious freedom.  Opponents of this legislation are saying that this could lead to discrimination against the LGBT community,  It should be said that there are various municipalities in Indiana that prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation, however, the state itself has no such law.  Now, there are people who don't even want to do business in Indiana and  are calling for a boycott.

http://www.indystar.com/story/news/politics/2015/03/27/san-francisco-joins-planning-boycott-indiana/70531518/

This is where I need to come in.  There are currently 49 states that have no protection for people who suffer discrimination based on their height or weight.  Which means, as these people who fear discrimination against members of the LGBT community in Indiana because there are no laws, that people should then stand up and boycott  these 49 states that allow others to be unfairly treated in the same manner right?  The only state that bans height and weight discrimination is Michigan!

So, therefore, this either means that Detroit should be expecting a population boom soon or that people who claim to be adamantly opposed to all forms of discrimination really aren't, except  when it is directed at certain groups.  My guess is, it will be the latter and those of us who don't meet a physical appearance standard will still have to fight for legislation to protect us from discrimination in the workplace and beyond.

So, to all of you who are against this law in Indiana and want to boycott it, are you going to move to Michigan or are there still some forms of discrimination that are okay by you?

Gilbert Collar vs Michael Brown...

As you all know, for the last several months we have been inundated with what happened to Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.   A 6'3" (almost 300lb young black teen) who had robbed a convenience store, was confronted by Darren Wilson as he was walking down the middle of the street in Ferguson; he attacked Officer Wilson and tried to get his gun away from him.  We all know the outcome and what transpired afterwards.

Yet, how many people have heard of Gilbert Collar?  He was a unarmed white teen, who was smaller in stature (about 5'7" and 135) and he was shot by a black cop in Alabama (Trevis Austin) in October of 2012.  Of course, you didn't hear much about this case because it was a white teen who also happened to be undersized.  Unlike Michael Brown, Gilbert Collar didn't attack Trevis Austin, he was on drugs at the time and his behavior was erratic.  Yet, he was naked and unarmed, so why didn't Mr Austin use another form of restraint to subdue him besides shooting him.  Of course, Austin was cleared of any wrongdoing by the grand jury and they said his act of self-defense was justified.   Funny how that happens.  Normally, a man of Gilbert Collar's stature would be written off as a weak, scrawny, little man but when it comes to killing him, all of a sudden the officer was in fear for his life.

How de we know that Officer Austin wasn't prejudice, as they claim Officer Wilson was?  Maybe Austin didn't like white males or (in this case) short white males.   It does seem that America doesn't exactly think much of shorter males anyway.  Hey, who cares right, it was just a short guy he killed, it's not like it was a large black guy who robbed a store, assaulted a clerk and tried to kill a cop?  But, yet people were more outraged about Michael Brown.

Honestly now, who do you think deserved more justice?  Brown or Collar? .

Nationwide walk out

I am hoping, in the near future, that we can organize a nationwide walkout on our jobs in protest of all the height and weight discrimination that takes place; it's unjust and inhumane to pay those of us less that don't meet this country's height and weight standards.   If America is supposedly about fairness and tolerance, then they should join us!  For all those companies that impose your ridiculous standards that don't even pertain to the job or our performance.....FUCK YOU!!

Martin Luther King

Just thought that I'd send out a friendly reminder that MLK day is on Monday!   And to all the short men haters out there....MLK was 5'6"...so I guess that means you will be working on Monday then?

Job issues

Well...where do I begin here?

The place I currently work at doesn't seem too friendly towards short men;, especially, short, white men.

I started working there in 2009 and, as usual, I bust my butt to get the job done. which doesn't matter really.

I have had comments directed at me such as...."I didn't want to hire you because you are a little guy and I thought you were incapable."    Hmmm...that was nice...I wonder if I had said something about this woman's ethnicity if I would have kept my job...doubtful.   I had told HR at the time about this incident and was anything done...No!   Shame on you Pitney Bowes/Novitex for allowing this to take place.   Oops...did I give out the company name?    A while later this same woman said directly to me right after President Obama was reelected...."It is not about race!"...then said two seconds later  "get the white out of the White House"...wow! really?   Can you imagine if I had said the same thing?   Double standard anyone?   Now, this woman is no longer there but it was due to an unrelated matter...her offensive remarks towards me were more than welcome I guess.

I had another manager get into my email and forward a message to himself and no apology was ever offered; he wasn't man enough to approach me.  He is no longer there either but it had nothing to do with me.

Want more maltreatment of me?  I have been suffering seizures within the past year,(which might explain why it has been a while since I have posted).   Well,  I suffered a third one in August and my employer somehow forgot to phone my family (which they are supposed to do in an emergency);  when I had asked my managers about it, they gave me the excuse that they didn't know what to do....really?  How are you a manager then?   It seems also that they didn't like me approaching them about this because now they seem to be targeting me.   Maybe you people (you know who you are)  should have done your job to begin with but that would be asking too much of these people.

Most inept group of managers I have ever seen and the company itself isn't much better.   They keep adding to our workload because they can't keep their employees...hmmmm...wonder why?   The managers don't even want to be there, as so they have hinted.  They do have their favorites there though...think I am one...no way!   Wrong skin tone and not tall enough.   Why do I think this way...well.. if you were treated the way I have been, what would you think?

If they want to retaliate against me in some way for posting about them, I am quite sure I can offer a response where I can point out their many violations as well!

I don't like discriminatory fucks and hypocrites!

Oh....don't worry, you can still offend short men....

Hello again....

It's been a while (a year and a half) since I last posted but my blood is boiling!

As I am sure many of you are aware, a Paris satirical newspaper/magazine was attacked yesterday by some individuals who were upset about a cartoon they printed disparaging Mohammed.

I am all about supporting free speech and all but it's funny how when certain groups are targeted or demeaned that there are repercussions.

I can recall when people have posted remarks on social media disparaging black or gay people and have subsequently lost their jobs as a result, yet these same people seem perfectly happy to bash short men on social media.    https://twitter.com/heightismreport.   I am not saying they don't have the right to but the double standards amaze me.

Funny how these people on Twitter love to say how short men are always angry but short men aren't the ones looting and burning stores in protest or anger or killing police officers nor are we going into buildings and shooting people for offending us.   Yea...us short guys are the angry ones!...lol
